2017 Yearbook released

overall the numbers are better than last year (1.8% growth compared to 1.5% last year -- as i predicted ;-) ) with an increase in all major figures including 1300 more congregations (i assume this is not physical kingdom halls?).

I always remember them that the Biblestudents before 1914 were very sure about living in the last days. And that 1914 was supposed to be the end of the last days. If they allow me I mention the talk of brother Rutherford: "Millions now living will never die" (1920). Then I just smile.

the 2013 NWT in Dutch ---- when ??
by menrov inwe are almost in 2017 and some 3 to 4 years have passed since the release of the 2013 revised nwt.
also, i am supposed to believe much money has been spent on rto's.
and as the end is even closer, i should have access to the "best translation ever" in my own language...how else can i be saved???.

Kingdom Hall Renovation Question: Who Pays?
by breakfast of champions inso last night it was announced at the local hall that the ldc had decided against building a new hall, and that the existing hall would be "renovated.
the prospect of a new hall has been dangled before this congregation for at least 10 years now.
in fact, the congregation had already purchased property, had approval from the rbc for a new hall.

(Isaiah 17:1) 17 The pronouncement against Damascus: “Look! Damascus removed from being a city, and she has become a heap, a decaying ruin.
(Isaiah 19:5-10) 5 And the water will certainly be dried up from the sea, and the river itself will become parched and actually run dry. 6 And the rivers must stink; the Nile canals of Egypt must become low and parched. The reed and the rush themselves must molder. 7 The bare places by the Nile River, at the mouth of the Nile River, and every seedland of the Nile River will dry up. It will certainly be driven away, and it will be no more. 8 And the fishers will have to mourn, and all those casting fishhooks into the Nile River must express sorrow, and even those spreading fishing nets upon the surface of the water will actually fade away. 9 And the workers in carded flax must become ashamed; also the loom workers on white fabrics. 10 And her weavers must become crushed, all the wage workers grieved in soul.
What a wonderful prophecies to mention during our field ministry! (I use these to preach to my believing wife)

Many of the atheists are doing better than religionists!
by anointed1 ini got up today to listen to the shocking news that russia’s ambassador to turkey was assassinated at an ankara art exhibit, and assassin was acting in the name of god.. it seems things have evolved to the other extreme that atheists are doing the work of religionists and vice versa.
while religionists take delight in killing fellow humans in the name of god, there were many atheists who followed very elevated morality.
the french existentialists and writers jean-paul sartre and albert camus were some of them.

The new Jesus-The Way - book says:
Hence, natural Jews who do not accept the opportunity offered first to them to be part of the Kingdom with Christ will be rejected. But Gentiles will be welcomed to recline at his table, as it were, “in the Kingdom of the heavens.”
So because it does not fit Watchtower theology, it is interpreted as a symbol only. This way you can explain everything that does not fit your ideas.

It is true, outside the KH you can decide for yourself about your program. My brother for instance could not get permission for the hall because of premarital sex. So my father offered to give a talk at the place of the weddingparty, "since they were also in need of spiritual counsel". My father, who is an elder, did not get in trouble because of it. So maybe it is a loophole.
